The behaviours of Yoyo Loaches are wonderfully quirky. They are capable of producing loud clicking noises, which can be heard outside of the aquarium; they oftentimes rest or sleep in strange, unusual positions, sometimes wedged into décor pieces or even on their sides on the substrate; and they engage in “shadowing”, in which two or more fish swim flank-by-flank with each other, mimicking each other’s every movement.
