How frequently should I replace the ProVac filter pad?

In general, we recommend replacing the ProVAC filter pad every two cleanings. However, the required replacement frequency will vary greatly depending on your particular aquarium setup.

What size hose is compatible with the ProVAC’s water change adapter?

The hose for the water change adapter on the ProVAC should be 1/2″ interior diameter.

How frequently should I perform partial water changes?

We recommend performing partial water changes every week. When keeping aquariums with high stocking densities or with more delicate / demanding species, more frequent water changes are required. Always make sure the replacement water is of the right temperature and conditioned with Fluval Aqua Plus Water Conditioner.
