Bug Bites are made with sustainably sourced Black Soldier Fly Larvae, which are known as the “super food of the insect world” for their great nutritional properties. Each formula contains up to 40% of this high quality ingredient. BSFL are also rich in protein and omegas, providing all the essential amino acids fish need to live a healthy life.

Using a unique cultivation process, the Black Soldier Fly Larvae are grown under controlled conditions for total sustainability that preserves natural environments.
Hatchery
Under controlled conditions, black soldier flies product larvae that naturally feed on decaying organic matter.
Feedstock
Unconsumed fruits and vegetables are used as larvae feed.
Larvae Rearing
The larvae consume the feed, converting the nutrients into protein and healthy fat.
Harvesting
After a 2-week feeding cycle, the larvae are harvested and dried.
Formulation
The dried larvae are mixed with other high-quality proteins, vitamins and minerals to offer a complete and balanced daily diet.
Production
The mixed ingredients are processed in small batches and finally converted into a food format that is both palatable and easily digestible for fish.
Responsible Production
The larvae used in Bug Bites are raised on unconsumed fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. This environmentally responsible approach reduces landfill waste while delivering high quality nutrition.
