Wondering how to make your aquarium look more natural, or which substrate is ideal for your particular fish? In this video, Oliver Lucanus has a look at aquatic substrates around the world, from the Rio Xingu in Brazil to the blackwaters of the Rio Atabapo and the Rio Negro. Learn which kinds of rocks, gravels and sands to avoid in your aquarium, such as those with sharp edges, which are rarely seen in nature due to the weathering effects of seasonal changes. Using a variety of substrate grain sizes is recommended in order to achieve a more natural look!
