A Fishkeeper’s Worst Nightmare

When disaster strikes… 😥

The bottom tank of our double reef system leaked last month. We were fortunately able to save the fish and the corals, but the reef – which had grown in over the past 10 years – is destroyed.

Losing this reef felt like losing a pet. While the animals are all safe and that’s what really matters, being forced to tear apart an ecosystem you’ve spent years carefully and meticulously maintaining is definitely a tough pill to swallow. It hurts for now, but it’s also an opportunity to create something bigger and better than before – so stay tuned!
