Yes! All AC Series filter media is compatible with previous generation AquaClear filters, including the new intake strainer sponge.

Will AC Series filters automatically restart after a power outage?

AC Series filters will automatically restart after a power outage, provided the aquarium water level isn’t lower than the bottom of the intake U tube. To ensure this feature works as expected, thoroughly clean the impeller, impeller well and impeller shaft every 3 months.
